TOWARD THE FUTURE IN CROSS-BORDER CARE
Passage of the ‘Cross-Border Patient Directive‘ is history. What now? What is the future of cross-border care in Europe? And how does the growth of cross-border care in Europe‘s border regions intersect with the evolution of the European Union in coming decades?
Join us in the historic European Treaty city of Maastricht as we look into the future.
At a conference supported by the European Commission (DG Sanco)-funded project Euregio II, we will preview the NEXT GENERATION in cross-border care in Europe. Speakers will focus on three themes (Inequalities, Law, and Technology) at two levels (Regional Development and European Vision). Join us to exchange visions, strategy and tactics at the cutting edge of cross-border care in Europe.
The Euregio II project, sub-titled “Solutions for improving health care cooperation in border regions” is being implemented by a working group (see “Project Partners”) under the co-ordination of the Department for International Health at Maastricht University, Maastricht, The Netherlands. The Euregio II Project has been funded under the framework of the Public Health Programme (Grant Agreement No. 20077118, duration period: 1.12.2008 – 30.11.2011).
